Hi, folks! Today I am sharing yet another DIY. This wreath is perfect for Christmas or winter. I hope you enjoy crafting as much as I do.
Because it’s quick and easy, making wreaths is one of my favorite DIYs. As a blogger mom, I need quick and easy because I don’t have a lot of time.
The other great thing is how inexpensive it is to make one. Have you been to Michael’s? Their wreathes ranges from $30 to $100!
This one will cost you $10. Nice, right?
I love a modern hoop wreath because it’s sleek, minimal, and elegant. I love grapevine wreaths as well but they’re in a different category.
Let’s get started.
FULL DISCLOSURE: THIS POST CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINKS.
You’ll need:
- 19″ floral hoop
- Spray paint – gold or rose gold
- Glue gun
- Green floral wire
- pine picks or garland
- Lambs ear
- Faux flowers
- Berries
Directions
Spray the hoop with your favorite metallic spray paint. I had leftover rose gold paint, but gold would also have been good.
When the hoop is dry, take your pine picks or garland and place it on the sides securing it with floral wire. (I used garland I got at 50% and the end of last year.) Cut it in small pieces.
Add berries, pines cones and lambs ear over top of the pine using floral wire. Try your best to hide the wire.
Use the glue gun to glue the faux flowers at the base. I use a magnolia with a peony on each side. Use whatever tickles your fancy. You may know that I like magnolias and peonies!
I’ll use this wreath all winter long. By spring I’ll change it out for another.
I love how endless the options are!
Hang it and you’re done.
I made a 14″ hoop for spring already, but I much prefer the 19″. It’s proportion looks better on my front door.
Do you put up Christmas or winter wreath?
