Hey, everyone. I’m back with another Dollar Tree DIY Christmas ornament.
I’ve been busy thinking about creating content on my new Youtube channel and so I’ve fallen behind with the blog. I had been using my smartphone cam on previous videos but didn’t like the quality—so I asked hubby for an upgrade. He got me a new DLSR camera for my birthday.
I’m a visual learner myself and so I relate to video. There’s something about watching something being done over reading about it. The supplies and directions are briefly listed below, but you should watch the video.
Chalkboard Ornament
Supplies
- Dollar Tree wood planks
- Chalkboard paint
- Glue gun
- Twine
- Wooden beads
- Paint brush
- Scissors
- Chalk marker
Directions
- Cut twine about 8 inches and tie one end.
- Take 6 pieces of wooden beads and put it through the twine. Tie the other end.
- Paint wood plank using chalkboard paint. I got mine from Dollar Tree.
- Let it dry.
- Take the twine with beads and glue it on the back of the planks.
- Write any words you like.
I was excited to see these wooden planks, 6 for $1. You can’t beat the price!
The chalkboard paint worked well, as did the chalk markers. Dollar Tree brims with great craft buys.
Aren’t these cute? You can customize them with whatever words you like.
These reminds me of ornament you can find at Hobby Lobby.
Wood Bead Sign Ornament
Supplies
- Dollar Tree wood bead picture frame
- Dollar Tree Christmas gift box
- Glue gun
Directions
This is the easiest DIY. All I did was take a gift box lid and frame it. I tried to paint the picture but it’s not wood so not ideal for painting. I thought about making Christmas printables but I found cute gift boxes and decided to use them for ornamentation.
Watch the full tutorial here.
I’m tickled with how they turned out. I love these wood bead frame so much. Hobby Lobby has a similar one for $7.50!
They look better than printables.
Please like my videos and subscribe to my channel. I want to make more videos and I would very much appreciate your support.
I hope you enjoyed this DIY Dollar Tree ornament. I’ll be posting another one soon. Take care!
