Are you looking for an easy and budget-friendly wreath for fall? In this post, I am going to show you how to make DIY dried floral wreath to get your front door ready for fall.
Fall is here. The leaves are slowly changing colors and the temps are getting colder. Today, I am going to show you how to make an ornamental grass wreath. It is super easy and inexpensive. I planted ornamental grass last year and had to move it to a different location. Now it’s not doing well. I’m hoping it will come back healthier next year.
I got these dried flowers from my Mother-In-Law. They have plenty of ornamental grass flowers every year so I get to enjoy them as well. I planted pampas grass before but it did not survive. I love pampas grass. Hobby Lobby sells them but they are not very cheap.
I will show you how to make this wreath so keep reading.
Supplies
- Grapevine wreath
- Ornamental grass or pampas grass
- Dollar Tree dried floral
- Floral wire (or Dollar Tree metal hoop wreath)
- Wire cutter
- Scissors
Instructions
- Take 4 stems and cut them about 8-10 inches long.
- Place them on the wreath and secure it using floral wire. (You may also use Dollar Tree’s metal hoop wreath).
- Do the same thing but place the ornamental flowers on top of the stem.
- You want to make sure the stems are covered so it’s not visible.
- Do the same thing until the whole wreath is covered with dried flowers placing them in the same direction.
- I decided to add this Dollar Tree dried flowers to add a little bit of color to the wreath. They also have it in purple and maroon.
That’s it! Hang it on your front door and enjoy our new wreath. Check out the full video tutorial below!
I hope you enjoy this simple DIY dried floral fall wreath tutorial. I love the minimalist look and the texture it adds to the front door.
