Simple And Neutral Christmas Decor In Dining Room And Kitchen

Scandinavian Christmas Decor

Are you looking for a simple and minimalist Christmas decor? In this post, I am sharing my Scandinavian-inspired Christmas tree and decor in the dining room and kitchen.

Hey friends, I hope you’re doing well. I can’t believe that it’s only a couple of weeks until Christmas. We got most of our shopping done on Black Friday. We ordered all kid’s presents online. Don’t you love online shopping? I know we do!

This year’s theme in our dining and kitchen is Scandinavian-inspired. If you are not familiar with the Scandinavian style it’s all about the natural and organic decor. It’s very minimalist and incorporates neutral colors like white and wood. While I love colors, I also love simplicity.

Our family is very laid-back and having a simple and neutral decor appeals to me. I’m not the type of person who loves chandelier and blingy stuff. I’d rather see lots of natural accents like stone, wood, and neutral colors. I think it adds more character to any space.

I love to look at homes on Zillow or Realtor.com to see what homes look like inside. I’ve seen homes from 500k-1 million dollar homes that were underwhelming. The exterior looks beautiful but when I look at the picture on the interior it’s either dated or lacks character. And most of the homes look like cookie-cutters.

This year, I decided to create a different theme in our dining room Christmas tree. I added browns, gold, cream, and other natural accents like jute and wood. This Christmas tree is more neutral compared to our living room Christmas tree.

Most of the ornaments are I used are ornaments that we already own. The brown ball ornaments are thrift store find and I love how it pops against the green. I found these cute wood-like ornaments from Dollar Tree. I love to add different textures to my Christmas tree to prevent it from looking flat.

I cut these white eastern pine from my MIL’s backyard. This is one of my favorite pines because I love the long needles. This thrifted vessel is one of my favorite painted vases. I also cut some juniper pines and this one smells so good. The only bad thing is it has thorns which make it not easy to work with.

These floating shelves are my favorite spot to decorate in the kitchen. I love these wooden houses from Target. Hot chocolate is my absolute favorite drink in the winter so I made this Christmas hot cocoa bar.

I hope you enjoy this simple and neutral Christmas tree and decor. Have a Merry Christmas!
