Do you need inspiration or ideas for your Thanksgiving table setting? In this post, I am going to share how to decorate a neutral and simple table decor for Thanksgiving.
It’s hard to believe that November is right around the corner. Time flies, doesn’t it? Christmas will be here before we know it.
My sis and friend went to a park to do our annual pictorial. Our girls have picture day at school but they charge a lot for a picture with the fake background (you know what I mean, LOL). So hubby and I decided to take photos to go to a park to take our own photos instead. We prefer the natural background setting to the studio ones.
I’ve been enjoying October because of the perfect weather. Not too warm, not too cold. I’ve been gardening and cleaning up my flower beds. We had flooding about a month ago that destroyed some of my flowers. We have a creek in our yard and the water covered half of our yard.
I love living near the water but I worry when there’s a hurricane or storm because of flooding. We’ve lived here for 9 years and so far we had 2 inches of water in the basement once. That is the reason why we couldn’t finish our basement because it might just get destroyed by the water.
Anyways, let’s talk about tablescape for Thanksgiving, shall we?
The first thing I did is start with a neutral table runner. For a natural and organic look, I decided to use burlap. Burlap is inexpensive. We used this for my sister’s wedding several years ago. I love how it looks rustic and neutral.
I added this eucalyptus garland to the center of the table. I scored this from Goodwill for $2. I was so excited when I saw it! I love it when I find a good bargain ๐
To add textures and height, I added these brown jars with dried florals. Don’t forget to add pumpkins and candles for ambiance.
I then add the plates and gold silverware. I got these silverwares from Hobby Lobby for 90% off the regular price.
Last but not least, add the napkins with napkin rings. You can of course add plate chargers or placemats. However, I wanted to do a simple and minimalist table setting.
I hope this post gives you an idea for your Thanksgiving table decoration. But most importantly, enjoy and spend quality time with your family and friends.
