I don’t know about you but I love decorating for fall. I did not use to like fall so much because it reminds me that the winter season is coming. However, now I love the warm, earthy fall colors and cool weather. We’ve been getting cooler temps but today it still feels like summer.

Earthy Throw Pillows

One of the simplest ways to decorate for fall is swapping your throw pillows with earth tones. If you want to update your pillows on a budget, you can buy pillow covers from Amazon or Hobby Lobby. I do this all the time because I love to switch my throw pillows every season. Buying pillow covers also helps save storage space in your house if you have limited storage.

Dried Florals

I am currently obsessed with dried florals or grasses like pampas, palm leaves, wheat, and many more. It adds texture and statement to any space. It’s not only great for fall decor but you can use it year-round. Amazon has great selections of dried florals here.

Rustic Vase

I love rustic vases. It adds character to any room by mixing old and new. I made DIY rustic vases from thrift stores vase and it’s super easy to make.

Cozy Throw Blankets

Add soft or chunky throw blankets to add coziness to your living room for chilly nights. This is a must-have in our family because we always use throw blankets all the time even in the summer. I make sure that everyone has their own throw blankets to use.

Wood and Woven Pieces

Want to add warmth to your space? Wood finishes instantly bring organic warmth to your space. Some examples are wood furniture, woven baskets, accessories, or wood logs. I also like to incorporate rattan or wicker pieces to add a natural element to the space.

It’s time to take out your favorite candle! Lighting a fall-scented candle is my favorite way to add fall vibes to my home. I love how it makes the whole house smell so good!

Do you have a fireplace in the living room? Burning wood will instantly add coziness to your space. We used our fireplace last Christmas for the first time. I did not realize that it makes the house cold because of the air coming from the chimney. We are going to use it in the fall before it gets too cold 🙂
